Show up as yourself so your people can find you.
In business, we tend to think we are looking for our people when in fact they are just waiting for you to show up so they can find you. This isn't to say you don't have to narrow down who your tribe is, it is to say your portion is both, identifying and creating a space for them to arrive. I remember when I first started taking my brand seriously and trying my hand at creating my own lane. It was finally starting to kick in that it was something I was personally building and not just an opportunity I stumbled up on. As a network marketer, I was programmed to follow the leader but I wanted something for myself. I was ready to find my own fingerprint and stamp it on everything I loved. But I had no clue about the backend of things. I thought everyone was my customer. I felt I could sell to anyone and would get upset when certain individuals didn’t support my business all because I didn’t understand demographics and target audiences. Entrepreneurship is not for the weak. There’s much to know and patience is REQUIRED.

So here are a few things I have learned since paving my own trail and stepping into my authenticity.
Blazing Your Own Trail!
✨First things first, you must show up as yourself so your people can find you.
✨Learn your TARGET AUDIENCE and customer base. You DO NOT have to serve everyone because everyone may not need your service.
✨Find your niche and stick to it. Trust me, your people will come.
✨Once you learn who your target audience is, you’ll likely see that your family and friends do not fit into those categories. LET THEM OFF THE HOOK. Yes, it is great to have loved ones support, but if your goal is to make an impact, you want those that you serve to receive value more than you are looking for a dollar. Trust me, the money will come.
✨Study the market, learn how to appeal to your target audience.
✨O yea, and GIVE, GIVE, GIVE, GIVE. People have to see the value in your product/service before they invest. Again, trust me, you’re not giving away all your value/creativity because as a creative you are just that deep. There’s always more where that came from. I once heard Stormy Wellington say, Givers gain!
Final Thoughts | Impact is a way of life!
If it’s about impact, you’ll respect value. If it’s about money, you’ll respect volume.
In the world of business and entrepreneurship, you will quickly learn the success of your business will be based on quality and not quantity. Just think about it, if you are seriously looking for a good doctor or hairstylist, you'll likely refer to reviews, and study the persons business etiquette all before you spend a dime. What are you looking for? Value and quality of service. When we deem something valuable, we do not mind spending what it is worth. However, if you are looking for a quick outfit, you might just purchase a shirt from Shein for five bucks and when it burst as the seams after three wears you won't mind much because it was cheap. You were not fully invested in that purchase. You have to change your perspective and shift your mindset to impact. How can you make a change? What solutions can you bring to your community? What problems do they have that need solving? When you start thinking like this, you will notice that you want to bring value to any space or environment you are in. It easily becomes a way of life. And this is another aspect of giving. Finding your fingerprint and stamping it on everything you love is literally how you begin blazing your own trail. When people remember you, it won't be about what you did for them but how you made them feel. A good name is better than all the riches in the world. Bible.
