I've always been a water type of girl, like always. I've never had to be convinced to drink it, although at times I've had to challenge myself to drink more. Here is why I find it odd that others will not drink water simply because it has no taste. Of course this isn't me judging anyone because everyone has there own preferences, yet I'd be lying if I didn't say when I came out of my own bubble and began coaching others, I was shocked to hear just how many peple struggled with drinking water. It was a huge eye opener for me and it meant I'd have to get more familiar with water alternatives to encourage my clients to drink more of it. The truth was, it didn't matter if I'd list all its benefits, it all came down to taste. Think me even more shooketh when I found out sparkling water has the same benefits, only it has a fizz, like soda. Its carbonation made it an obvious alternative for those who were and are struggling with a soda obsession and deficient water intake. In fact, per UTedu, a study showed carbonated water can help with indegestion. It found fewer symptoms of indigestion with carbonated water compared to tap water. It is also speculated that carbonated water can improve satiety, or sense of fullness. Two very small uncontrolled studies reported that people felt satiated after drinking carbonated water. This is also true for still water but still an awesome observation for sparkling water since it gives me comfort knowing my clients health is not compromised, and that they'll feel fuller longer simply by drinking it. So in the case of still water vs sparkling water, I have to say sparkling water is winning. The only advantage still water has is, it's free.
