Understanding gender roles can simplify life. If we really understood who we are (identity), we would also perceive when we're dealing with someone who is NOT in full integrity and or rooted in themselves. Most times we don't realize we're sleeping with the opp. You may be asking who is the "opp" and how can you know when you are? So let's start there.
The Opponent "Opp": A person (personality) who wants your position and or is threatened by it.
Can we get into it?
This piece of knowledge will enrich your life in all ways once you understand and meditate on it. Opp's don't only show up in our romantic connections but in all forms of relationship. Today we'll focus on the root which is male and female because it starts here. When men and women understand we are not in competition, life will get easier.
Gender Roles & Purpose
When God created man and woman, he created us equal and gave us each purpose and position so there would be no confusion about our roles in the relationship. Men, He advised, were to name all the beast of the field, fowl of the air, have dominion over the earth and subdue it. Meaning he was to lead, protect and provide security to all things on earth, and under the heavens. Women, He advised, were to be help mates, ideally to support, nurture and produce safety. Both are equal in their respective roles, no need to compete. For a couple to flourish the man must feel safe to lead, protect, and provide security as the woman nurtures his will to do so by uplifting, and empowering his journey as a supportive counterpart. He provides an environment for her to prosper, and she creates one to nurture growth. Both are supportive roles and cannot function properly (optimally) without the other. You become the opp when you are threatened by the others position and or you step out of your supporting role in an effort to overpower/takeover said position. Men, you have to let women be women. Ladies, we have to let men be men. There is no competition because there is no comparison. Period!
Gender Roles & Civil Rights
There is only one race. The human race. Everything else is second to that. Understand we have human rights and the only reason those came into play is because there had to have been some form of oppression. A sign of oppression is the need for rights. Women’s rights emerged because women were treated as inferior and discardable. Our lives seemed to mean less than men. This was the curse of the enemy done in the garden of Eden. Civil rights came into play because of the oppression of black people. But if we understood, again, that we are all one, meaning we are all human therefore we each are covered under the laws (human rights), we wouldn’t need any of the others. There is no such thing as ethnic rights. Color and or ethnicity is a sub identity, not the highest ranking. In terms of rank, we are human first, male or female second, and ethnicity third. It’s funny because we’ve reversed that order. We will say he or she is black or white, female or male in terms of race and gender. When in fact it should be human, male or female, black or white. Why do you suppose color ranks third? Well in the beginning he made man, then male and female, not he made black and white. The indication of color began a deeper separation. A grouping of sorts. The more we distinguish differences or labels, the more oppression comes into play. Back to gender roles. Because God made humans male and female, and provides purpose and position in both identities, those who try to create their own species are searching for their place in society because technically, they have none. Not according to God’s system and order. They are not supposed to be here and have no authority in this realm. I’ll go deeper into this so don’t worry. For now, let’s focus on rights. So does this mean they deserve rights? No! If they are human, they already have rights. Human rights. The right to exist and breathe air. Since they’re confused about identity they fail to realize they already have a position in society, no need to create one. They do not have God’s blessing in doing so. They have no peace. They’re fighting for peace when in fact their outer world is a reflection of their inner torment. While they believe they are confused about identity, what they’re dealing with is multiple personality disorder.
Gender Roles & Multiple Personality Disorder
We all have many personalities (characteristics) but those of us who are in Christ find our identity in him. We know we have dominion and power over the self and those personalities, not the other way around. Personality is not identity, it is a character. A branch of your character which comes from the vine that is rooted in your identity. When your character is rooted in your identity (values, moral high standards), you know how to subdue and control those personalities. You know which ones are fitting towards the person God called you to be versus those that are of the flesh. Personalities that are of the flesh can be demonic, meaning you have become a vessel for a demon to express by way of personality. On a deeper level, you are not rooted in your identity, or disconnected from it all together. Which goes back to my statement about these “species “ fighting for rights when in fact they are not supposed to be here, and have no authority or dominion in this realm. Demons are literally obsessed with the idea of breath because breath is life. Remember, demons were subjected to death and cast into hell therefore they are dead. They can only experience life and or live thru a physical vessel. When you succumb to the personality, you let them take over, and you become a crash dummy. By now you know how to distinguish the opp (a person or personality who wants and or is threatened by your position). They’re taking your life for a spin. Basically you are now their giunnie pig. So let’s use the branch vine and root analogy. Jesus said he is the vine and we are the branches. God is the root. Identity is God, Jesus is character, and personality is the branch. We’re talking order and system here. Dominion and authority. Your character should determine your lifestyle. But living perversely, we do the opposite. Instead of character, we use personality. Personalities are like outfits, you can put them on and take them off, but some of us turn them into lifestyles. Example I am sexy, I’ll be a stripper. I am goofy, I’ll be a comedian. I am charming, I’ll go into sales. I am attractive, I’ll be a model. I like to make money so I’ll be a boss. Even when you consider your career, consider are you pulling from your personality or your passion. Understand you don’t choose a job, you choose a lifestyle. For the career you choose, ask yourself would you like to live like that. Don't only consider the money, but the lifestyle.
Final Thoughts | Gender Roles & Chakra Healing
If you know anything about the root chakra, you know it’s centered around family, identity, childhood trauma, money and prosperity. This conversation is far deeper than this individual post. When dealing with spiritual warfare, we could think the opp is after us, but the truth is, he is after our children. He seeks to kill, steal and destroy God's inheritance and legacy. The fact that there is another species seeking rights is no surprise, nor is the presence of Nephilims and aliens, when all along we've been creating space for them to inhabit our promise land by entertaining gender wars and the alphabet community. This isn't a post of condemnation because there is no condemnation in Christ but there is conviction, and where the spirit of the LORD is there is FREEDOM. I pray this sets someone free. For part 2, come back next week as we venture into the energetics of same sex relationships.
