Relationships | The Ugly Truth!

Relationships | The Ugly Truth!

I remember when God shared with me I had the gift of sight, meaning I am a seer, my first instinct was fear! I hadn't read much of the Holy Bible at that time outside of what was fed to me when I was in church but I did recall a certain heart broken prophet. Instantly I thought, God NO, they kill the prophets! My mind pictured all kinds of torment and fear rose over time with just the idea that people could hate me for this gift. If you are new to gifts of the spirit, let me share with you what it means to be a seer. There are many stations and gifts in God's kingdom, one being a prophet which means you have the ability to hear and receive messages from God. Technically you are a voice crying out in the wilderness for God's people. Messages could include the need for repentance of their evil doings, idolatry, covetousness and adultery, and the list goes on. They could also include premonitions of future events. God shares these things with us that we may know He is real and nothing is of man. Everything is His doing! When you understand God is our Source for ALL things, you can see sin for what it is and rebuke it. When Yahweh uses His prophets to deliver His word, He is equipping His people with wisdom, knowledge and understanding because that is His biggest grievance. He says His people perish for lack of those things. Here is why prophets are necessary. We can receive messages through various means including audible (I have heard the voice of the LORD) and see signs in the mundane. Which brings me to seers. Not all prophets are seers but all seers are prophets. Seers can see into the spirit, often through dreams, and others have the ability to see visions while awake. Which brings me to the title and reason for today's article. Prophets know the truth and seers can SEE the truth. When God gives you these abilities, it is our duty to speak up since not everyone has this gift. We've heard about the blind leading the blind! Rightfully, we are held to a higher standard. When you know the truth and you choose to lie, you will receive God's judgment. Failing to do Yah's will is classic Jonas style living. You're on the run from your calling. I know because I was once that person that didn't want to be killed by those around me for the truth. Now let's get into why we tend to lie to the people we love.

The Ugly Truth!

Let's face it! The truth is ugly! No one likes to hear correction and when we do, it's as if we've been exposed for who we are. Oddly enough, we all crave to be seen, only we want to control the narrative on how we are perceived. When you are living in truth, you don't mind correction nor do you run from it. You come to love the outcome which is deeper connections and solid foundations. The person who tells you the truth loves and wants the best for you. The ugly truth brings us closer to our divinity, and that is a beautiful thing!

A Beautiful Lie!

People have itching ears! We tend to like those who tell us what we want to hear. They stroke our ego meaning rarely will we feel offense. These environments seem "safe." Unfortunately, it's all an illusion. These people are judging you but only as you are. They don't really know you because you're hiding. The goal is to find favor with them and that means being likable, i.e people pleasing. And boy do they have their hooks in you!

Opportunistic Favor!

You feel these people are your ticket in! Tell them what they want to hear and they'll keep the blessings rolling. ha! Buddy! This is tale tell bread crumbing! Demons are opportunist and can't live without a host. So you can see here, these are demonic tendencies. Yah calls these false prophets for profit. Remember God is our Source for ALL things, including favor!

Final Thoughts | Surrendering is Hard!

That heart broken prophet I mentioned in the intro is Jeremiah. For a long time when Yah had me study his book, I dreaded it, but NOW, I love the Book of Jeremiah. His understanding of the mind, heart connection and revelations are mind blowing. He was brokenhearted because the people wouldn't listen. And since I'm honest, I had to admit I've been on both sides. Fear is very debilitating. Somehow we think we can make peace with demons. When you realize demons are insecurities you've yet to surrender at the altar of your heart, you can see how you're operating in pride and ego. God wants to turn your weaknesses into strengths. Scripture tells us where we are weak, God is strong. Also Philippians 4:13 says I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. This includes surrendering it all to God. Trust Him!
