I was born in Texas and raised in Los Angeles. I don't know if I should say that, but that is exactly how I feel. You would think at the age of 37, I passed the rearing stage, but follow me. Age is not an indication of maturity. Up till this point, I would have to say I was very immature, naive, and gullible. That is the honest truth. I was simply unaware. Lack of awareness (ignorance) causes us to live in darkness. It would take for me to get in an environment unlike the one I grew up in to see just how naive I was. Here is why difference is a blessing. When you are surrounded by those who are like you, there is no variance therefore no change in perspective. You can not grow in conditions that mirror you because they do not challenge you. We tap into our ability to transform and develop when we step out of our comfort zone. That is what moving to California was for me. While there, I would meet people on similar journeys (they were my mirrors). I would also meet people from different backgrounds (they were my deflectors). Essentially, I was able to see myself entirely through these soul mates. For them, I am forever grateful. Prior to moving, I was heavily into spirituality. I use the word "spirituality" because there is a difference between spiritual and Godly, although they are both spirits. I was into new-age spirituality, including tarot, angel numbers, crystals, herbs, and spirit guides.

Knowing The Difference Between God and Idol Worship.
Now do not get me wrong. We have angels who are present with and for us. Numbers are also significant in the Bible. The difference between these two philosophies is worship and understanding. Although I acknowledged I worshipped God, I did not honor Jesus Christ. Here is where you can decipher new-age spirituality from Christ-consciousness. Believers recognize Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins and was resurrected on the third day. Only by this acknowledgment can we receive his Holy Spirit, the spirit of truth. Upon receiving the Holy Spirit, He becomes our guide and helper. In spirituality, the numbers, spirit guides, and universe are the guide. Unconsciously you begin to worship those things. Some years ago, I fell out of love with Jesus. I no longer wanted Him as my guide because of my choices and actions. I blamed Him for my transgressions. Looking back, I was allowing my emotions to drive the car. We are immature when we give dominion to our feelings instead of controlling them. Due to a broken heart, I stopped acknowledging the Son of God and only recognized the Father. But God is a triune God. He is Elohim, The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is through Christ we have access to God. My move to LA would convict me of this truth.

The Word of God.
I purchased my first Holy Bible not long after I got there. God assured me I would need it, and it became my best friend. Before that, I had not stepped foot in a church in over a decade. Strangely enough, the place I lived when I first arrived played T.D. Jakes sermons regularly. I seemed to be surrounded by God's conviction. It was as if He was screaming at me, "IT'S TIME TO LEVEL UP!" Often people do not come to Christ because they believe He will not forgive their sins. Some are unaware they hold on to guilt, shame, blame, and regret. It is these emotions and thoughts that Jesus Christ wants to set us free from if only we would believe in the Son of God. I did not realize I was holding on to many of these emotions until the Holy Spirit revealed them. And boy, am I glad he did. Holding on to these feelings keep us operating in low vibrations. Due to these lower perspectives, we create lower realities because of our limited beliefs. We become resistant to love, and God is love. Love is the cure for all things. Here is why it is said, With God, All things are possible.

Surrender | Forgiveness Opens Our Heart Chakra.
The first step to the impossible is forgiveness. We must ask God's forgiveness in addition to forgiveness of the self. Ironically, the first step to forgiveness is accepting full responsibility. After feeling God's conviction in my spiritual practices, it seemed I was at a fork in the road. God's first commandment is "You shall have no other gods before me." At that point, energy readings, crystals, and sage bundles were vital to my Wellness Coaching business. But to have more of God, I was willing to give up everything. I had to surrender. I renounced new-age spirituality and burnt everything I had that was attached to it. Next, I asked His forgiveness. I wanted to be free. I knew He was the only one that could save me. Still, there are many levels to freedom as there are many levels to consciousness. Salvation is the beginning of autonomy, and Christ-consciousness is sovereignty. I wanted to be sovereign. Here was the start of that journey.
