Okay, so last week we talked about bare faces. We learned that I prefer clear skin and my natural appearance over makeup any day. Today we are going to discuss one of the most important parts of any beauty regimen, moisturizer. If you are wanting to achieve more beautiful, youthful and healthy skin, you want to read on.

I believe some people are blessed with good skin. Something about their genetic makeup included blemish free, glowy pigmentation. I'm not sure I was one of those people. My father suffered with acne and at one point during my teenage years, I thought I was doomed to his fate. I remember using proactive in highschool because I got a few pimples before prom and boy was I HOT!!! At no point did I think my skin would purge the way it did, and right before prom! I had to wear makeup, and a lot of it to cover my blemishes! That might just be when my love/hate relationship with "the mask" began. It's one thing to want to wear it and another to need it to feel confident. Now fast forward to adulthood. When I decided to take interest in fitness, beauty instantly became a part of that. When I became a Herbalife distributor, I purchased the entire Herbalife SKIN beauty program (with my discount of course, because let's face it, it's not cheap), and it's been up since. One of my favorite products is the Daily Glow moisturizer, hands down! If all you do is wash your face and you think that's going to keep your skin youthful, you're foolish. We need moisturizer to prevent wrinkles (dry skin is the root of wrinkles) and to keep our skin lustrous. Daily Glow has been that girl for me over the years. She's kept me with compliments on my skin. But one day I would be out of it and without the funds to invest in it. So what's a girl to do?! I for sure wasn't going without moisturizer knowing how important it is. And then there it was, a tiktok video speaking about castor oil and its many benefits. So you know what that meant! Off to the store we go. Now, let me say this. It's vital that you purchase your castor oil in a glass jar. I don't know all the details about why you should but I've heard it repeatedly. I bought the De La Cruz brand at my local Kroger on the beauty isle for no more than $4 and I've been sold. If you decide to try castor oil, you must know your skin will purge any imperfections as well. But what I love the most is how it also acts as a toner. The dark spots I've gotten while using it, are diminishing with each use. And let me not even start with dark spots I've had for years, let alone rough patches which might I add require a proper toner to truly reverse. So there's that! Even when I get the funds to re-invest in Daily Glow, I'm sure I will, but castor oil is definitly here to stay. If you decide to try it, I'd love to hear your story and if you're interested in Daily Glow, I'm your girl for the job.
