Faith | Be Careful What You Ask For. You Might Just Get It! Part 2

Everything Isn't Always As It Seems!

Okay.... we are back! So we do not lose the focus of this series. Let me make it clear. I asked God to use me, and HE HAS! And IS! What I am doing is painting a picture of that journey for you. There are so many times I have said, God, I would have never done things the way you have had me do them. I would never have guessed the path He would have me take. This fact gives the scripture "for His thoughts and ways are higher than ours" integrity. It requires a great deal of faith to trust what you don't know and can't explain. That is why it is called a faith walk. We have to release judgment of what we can see and just believe. Belief is a powerful thing. At one point during my stay in Los Angeles, I was homeless. Even that could not send me back to Texas. I had a word from God, and I was standing on it. I took a short trip to visit family and took that time to get into a space of gratitude and immaculate faith. I would go back to LA with provisions greater than I could have ever imagined. God provided a place for me in Hollywood Hills, a penthouse to be exact. And not because I deserved it but All for HIS GLORY. Here is where I would learn that destruction comes before deliverance.

Before God blesses you, He builds and tests your belief. Here is how we manifest the miracle. Your belief precedes the blessing. God often uses our enemies and afflictions to exalt us, which is why we must release judgment to receive miracles. To go into depth about His wonders, let's just say the place I picked for myself was miniature in comparison to what God provided. You know how we do. We gauge what is possible based on our pocketbook. I had maybe $800 to my name and in no way would have been looking at a penthouse. So here is how it happened. I applied for a place and received a confirmation for my stay, to later receive an email saying it was not available. I could have been discouraged. I felt it creeping in, but God was like, "You bet not!" ha!

Instead of letting the doubt take over, I kindly asked the host if they had anything else for a long-term stay. Shortly after, the company sent photos of the place. But I wasn't completely sold. I needed to see it in person before committing. Not to mention, I was still thinking about the how. It was as if I had forgotten I made it there with only $350 for the trip. Despite that, God was way ahead of me. At this point, I had no clue the place was in Hollywood Hills. It wouldn't dawn on me until I made the exit on Gower St and turned on N. Beachwood. You can not help but notice the big HOLLYWOOD sign staring you dead in your face. All I could do was go in praise and worship. My exact thinking was, LORD GOD, for me! But it is always All for HIS GLORY! Even when I shared with my roommates how I'd come to live there, they agreed it was a miracle. God will put you in rooms you could not dream of and open doors no man can shut. I was so out of place, but I was supposed to be there. Here is the sovereignty of God. He is the greatest oxymoron, and I LOVE IT! We all are. We are created in His image. So again I say, we should not judge because it keeps us away from His promises. The unexpected is most often the miracle. Seeing how He was moving in my life gave me more reason to trust what He was doing, even if I couldn't explain it to others. The truth is your life does not have to make sense to anyone but you and God. At times, it will not make sense to even you. Hindsight is always 20/20. With all he was revealing to me, I was falling in love. Of course, there's more. But we eat an elephant one bite at a time.
