To receive replenishment, we must REST.

Yep, that's the answer. REST! To receive love, you must unplug. Just in case you hadn’t received the memo, we are in the age of information. Everywhere you turn there is a guru, a masterclass, course, and we can’t forget google. No matter which way you turn, left or right, front or back, there is information (data). When you turn on the news, go to work, listen to the radio, hop on social media, information IS EVERYWHERE! It’s like the world is constantly talking and we are expected to listen and engage. All the time!
Final Thoughts | We may feel unworthy of love.
Sometimes we need permission to step away from being overstimulated although we feel the effects in our body. In fact, your body tells you when it needs nourishing but outside noise can be so loud we are unable to listen. For some reason, we still need to be told to replenish. As crazy as that seems, we have been programmed to constantly be in a productive state. When we are not producing we feel like we are failing. It’s no surprise we have been programmed wrong. Not only does this conditioning affect our physical body and mental health, it makes us feel unworthy of love. To receive, we must be in a position of surrender, but that is impossible when we are always in motion. This is the effect of a patriarchal system. A system that reeks with masculine energy. It’s the chase, and at times that chase can be thrilling. But what happens when the thrill is gone, your bones start aching and mind starts to shut down?! Just like you plug your phone into a charger for replenishing, you must do the same for yourself. It might even be a good idea to shut the phone off all together while it charges. It should be nourished without interruption. I am sure we have all heard of Do Not Disturb.
How are you practicing self-love? Today I encourage you to treat yourself better than you do your phone. Sometimes you have to relax and let the good stuff come to you.
