Healthy Eats | Banana Caramel Protein Pancakes

It seems this months wellness Wednesday recipe has a theme, and it's PROTEIN! I am no stranger to a healthy lifestyle. I have been on this journey since 2015. l must say though, it never surprises me that I do not know enough about the journey. I am constantly growing and evolving in the world of wellness. I believe we all should. Life is about evolution and we cannot do that without learning new things and ways of being. As a Wellness Coach, one of the main questions and concerns my clients would have is, if I can't eat what I normally eat, then what am I supposed to eat? It is as if they believe they can no longer eat anything. I can only imagine they picture themselves starving, lol. Since I had this same belief system when I first began my journey, I totally understand the fear. This is true for those who hear protein shakes and think they cannot eat a real meal any longer. I cannot count the times I have heard, I don't only want to drink my meals. Of course, I couldn't help but laugh. Fortunately, as I have stated, I learned some things along the way. It is not always about removal but substitution and innovation. Today we learn how to make protein pancakes. Specifically, banana caramel protein pancakes. So delicious! Let's get into it!



Protein Pancakes, The Great Way!

This recipe includes Banana Caramel Herbalife Formula 1 Healthy Meal (FM1) + Protein Baked Goods Mix.


Ingredients :

2 scoops Banana Caramel FM1

2 scoops Protein Baked Goods Mix

1/3 cup + 1 tbsp water

1 tbsp egg white powder


Toppings: I prefer organic honey, bananas and apple. Choose your syrup and fruit preference.


Preparation : Set griddle temperature to 370 degree F. Slightly spray griddle with oil (vegetable or coconut).


In a small mixing bowl, combine all dry ingredients together and then add water. When griddle is ready, pour batter and cook each side for 2 minutes until brown.


Portion makes two to three 4-inch pancakes.

Eating according to your goals does not have to be boring, and the food does not have to be bland. You can enjoy protein in a meatless meal without drinking a shake, and it still taste good and be good for you. If you are looking to lose weight, you will need to eat at a calorific deficit.
