Satisfying Fruit Snacks

There is nothing more satisfying than a cold snack on a hot day, even better when it is healthy. Let's not get into those moment when you are craving sweets and trying your best to stay away from processed sugar. Not everyone likes to hear the phrase, just eat some fruit. But we cannot deny it is the healthier choice. Unlike processed simple sugar, complex sugars are a great carbohydrate source. And we know what carbs do for us. They give us energy. Simple sugars tend to stick to our abdomen. If you care anything about abs, you can just say bye bye! But abs are not the only reason we should eat more fruit. We have to learn how to have a balanced lifestyle. You are what you eat and fruit can make you taste better in more ways than one.

I always recommend organic fruit and produce. In this episode of mixed fruit cups, I used some of my favorite choices but feel free to add or subtract according to your taste. Here's what you will need.


1 cantaloupe

1 batch blueberries

diced kiwi

bananas

Seasoning: Tahin


Preparation: Cut up your fruit small enough to fit multiple of each per cup. You want a good mixture per serving. I recommend putting the larger fruit in the cup first and letting the smaller fruit like kiwi and blueberries fall in between the cracks. Top each cup with slices of banana (or fruit of your choice) and season with Tahin. Cover with a lid and store in the refrigerator until it is time to eat. I was able to make two weeks worth of snack prep with one cantaloupe. This meal prep idea is perfect for a quick breakfast on the go, a snack or those late night sweet tooth's. Enjoy!

They are simple, quick and easy to make in batches. Most times we buy fruit and it goes bad before we can finish it. I mean seriously, who has time or money to waste. With this healthy eats meal prep idea, that is one less thing you will have to worry about.
